On this trip, I felt like it was time to give another Mexican food franchise a try. So I got the steak Stack which is something that’s special to this joint. I got mine with steak, followed by queso, guac, brown rice, pinto beans, and pico de gallo all between two crunchy corn tortillas inside a wrapped and grilled flour tortilla. I think this meal is what makes Moe’s so good for a fast food place. A few years ago, there was a Harris Poll EquiTrend survey that showed Moe’s was the “Fast Casual Mexican Restaurant of the Year” which made them surpass Chipotle! I’d have to say I agree, Moe’s is close to the top!
But if you want me to compare this to homemade Mexican food, well I just simply cannot do that. While Mo’s is at the top of my list for commercial Mexican food, nothing, and I mean nothing, we’ll compare to either homemade tortillas, or tacos that you can find at a taqueria!
