Sometimes a simple soft tortilla can turn a rainy day into one full of sunshine! I was lucky to indulge in some with my Taco Literacy class!
The freshness was the first thing I picked up on, as they came out the bag steaming. They were thin and easily tearable, so I could get a closer look at the corn doing its magic.
The surface looked like that from a desert, with bits of corn scattered here and there as you can see in the close up of the tortilla.
The only thing I will say is they left the slightest bitter aftertaste, but I did not mind at all. I can have these tortillas all day every day!

The taste was the nixtamal, the freshly ground corn. But with these as the base for your taco, you can’t go wrong.
I remember those days when we used to meet in person. That was fun.
